This week, the Comic Creator’s Minigroup art show topic is Star Trek. I tried to chose a more obscure character, Nurse Chapel. She was played by Gene Rodenberry’s wife, Majel Barrett – who was also Deanna Troi’s mother in TNG.

I did a piece of fan art for James Spence’s comic Girls In Space. It’s the fiery red headed earth girl Red MacRumble! Head on over and check it out. Below this post here, you’ll find another post of James’ excellent fan art of the Countess that he sent last week.
Much to my surprise ,when I checked my email last Wednesday morning, I found this awesome Titania fan art from artist and author James Spence – creator of Girls In Space! James’ comic follows the galactic adventures of space sisters Faye and Zoe Strider – and their fiery red headed earth friend “Red” MacRumble. Together they travel through time and space in a souped-up VW Mini-bus, and have faced Dinosaurs, evil Klaxicans, and even an old woman who likes to pickle things a little too much! It’s filled with lots of pin-uppy goodness just like my comic, so be sure to check it out.
Last week’s topic for the Comic Creator’s Minigroup art show was James Bond. I chose to portray Blofeld – the head of the nefarious organization , SPECTRE! He is the prototypical supervillain, and is even the model for my own supervillain, Theodoric VonMonochle.
This weeks theme for the Comic Creators’ Minigroup was Conan. I did two pieces – Conan, which I entered into the art show, and this one, Red Sonja which I didn’t. Since the other artists’ entries were more humorous, I went with the Conan sketch instead of this.
