Happy Holidays From the Directorate (and Me!)
I thought I would use this update to share the Directorate’s Christmas Card. It features a warm greeting from our world’s eventual ruler, A-1… otherwise known as Theodoric VonMonochle, leader of the Directorate. While it may be very easy for me to post this, several art directors were thrown into the lava pit after submitting previous greeting card ideas that were rejected. I hope you appreciate their sacrifice.
The update next Thursday will be a special Illustration of Mallory… I hope you’ll be there for that. In two weeks, we pick up the story once more with BW’s training. We are now at the halfway point for the second Bunny Wiggins story. Have a good holiday!
I've had some mean and nasty art directors, but none of them compare to this guy! He puts the dead in deadline! Happy Holidays, Jerry! Looking forward to another year of Bunny Wiggins!
Thanks, Mark! I've worked for some jerks as well… the worst being a former Sgt. and his bigot son! I look forward to doing another year of Bunny Wiggins… and I hope to be doing more comics at my other site hoorayforfuntime.com.
I guess there's no other choice than to have a happy holidays when the Directorate expressly tells you to. 🙂
I don't think any of us would want to incur his wrath, George, so I think it's wise to do what he says!
I was planning to not have a happy holidays, but now I guess I'm compelled to be happy. I'll try to make the best of it.
I like the distressed look of the card.
And Happy Holidays to you, too, Jerry!
Thanks, Binky! I know it's difficult being forced to have happy holidays. Just try and smile when you're opening the gifts!
I have a book of textures that I use to get the distressed look… I've always had fun with that!
There's a book of distress? Well, I guess if anyone would know where to find that, the Directorate would.
Happy holidays to you too Mr. Charming!
I guess charm isn't his strong suit… I think he just gets his way because he created a death ray!
Death rays can be very convincing
I think that's because of the"death" part. If it were a "fun" ray, no one would worry!
All the best for the festive period! Great image, by the way!
Thank you, James! And the same to you and yours!
I'm glad you were able to find such a cheery person to pose for the card.
He didn't really give us much choice in the matter…he insisted on being the spokes-model. Quite literally, we couldn't say no! That's what happens when your co-workers are imprisoned in a block of ice by a freeze ray.
He sees you when you're sleeping…
Hope you had a Merry Christmas, Jerry!
