Die Now Die Later! Page 22

I wonder who Van Schleiser hates more… BW or Jan Brady? He must’ve felt sort of awkward in that final panel when he gave away his nefarious plan. I guess BW would’ve found out anyway.
For those of you who may have forgotten (or tuned in late), Van Schleiser, Titania Cleave’s bodyguard, was charged with training BW… and part of the “training” includes immersion in the local culture… so BW had to take a local wife, and work on a crappy fishing boat. Next week we catch up with BW’s girlfriend, Titania Cleave.
Never call a bunny a rat. Solid words to live by.
Indeed they are, James… indeed they are! I think that Van Schleiser may have a reckoning soon…
People (er bunnies) still pull that flaming turd joke. I would think he would have to poop a lot of his bunny turds to get a full bag.
If nothing Else, BW is resourceful… he probably hates VS enough to save up his poop in a bag for said flaming spectacle… either that, or he can see if there is a poop bank somewhere!
Always make sure when you are doing an evil monologue about someone, they are still not in the room.
it\’s never a good idea Chris, especially if you do one of those monologues where you give away all of your evil plans!
Oops, better adjust your face mask, Van Schleiser! And he wears his mask and gear around the house? Priceless!
VS lives for his job, and to say he takes himself seriously is an understatement. He\’s such a drama queen!
Today's episode looks extra-clear and crispy. Did you try something new? The art is really looking outstanding and the color come thru lovely.
And I love how people will talk trash about him even with BW still in the vicinity. 🙂
Thanks George! I\’ve been trying to make the pages lighter. I colored it in a similar way to what I\’ve been doing, but this time, (and this may sound technical) in Photoshop, I let a layer that was on a color blending mode of color burn show through the layer of shading above it. I\’ve picked up a few Photoshop tricks from a friend of mine, recently, and I\’ve been trying them out!
Poor BW, even his nemesis doesn't respect him enough to make sure he's gone before he talks about him behind his back.
Between last weeks comic and this week's comic, it doesn't seem like ANYONE respects him… but then again, I don't think I would either!
I never took Van Schleiser for a Brady Bunch fan. I guess the toughest guys still have a soft spot for the classics.
I think he's seen all of the shows, Tony… he was enraged by the movie versions. Of course, he watches all these shows through the filter of being a bad guy. It just goes to show that he's only human… even if you can never see his face to prove it!
Love your comic! BW (both the character and the comic) reminds me a bit of Duckman.
Thanks Binque…and welcome! Glad you like it!
I have a pretty diverse set of influences on my style. For good or ill, I don't think there is really anything similar to it. It has a pretty Duckman kind of vibe to it… yet I think they do "edgy" better than I do. I have a hard time getting a read on what people think of my drawing. The people who like it tend to compliment it… and comment here… those who hate it move on. People who like more mainstream, animated or PVP/Penny Arcade kinds of style may not care much for Bunny Wiggins the Comic.
Its never a good thing when your still in the room and the plots revealed against you are exposed with little worry to your presence! [blinks]
Kind of shows the respect that VS has for BW… and of BW's ability to thwart him…
Although I don't think he's someone I'd want to watch TV with!
Cosy lounge, couple of beers, the Brady Bunch & Van Schleiser. Great way to spend a friday night.
I think you'd probably have to bring the pizza though. He's a big fan of "the Waltons", too… but every time Grandpa Walton is on the screen VS shouts at the TV.
WOW!!! I'm impressed Jerry. I'll grab the pizza on the way over.
He must be evil…he keeps a framed photo of Tim Curry as Pennywise the Clown on his wall!
Not only that, he thinks of Pennywise as his role model!
LOL at the last panel!
Thanks… The last line was a late addition!
Just wanted to say that the 1st panel of this one was my favourite of all time
Thanks Tony! It seems that that panel set VS apart from other "supervillains".
